Hi everyone! I am new to this site, I've been viewing many forums and threads before joining and I have to say it is very interesting to see that everyone shares the same interest.
I had another account, know as Hotpoint9777, unfortunately I had the password stored on my old computer which crashed about 1 month ago and my internet connection was very slow and this site was bugging it. One of the many machines I took notice to when I was younger, was the old Indesit front loaders, such as the 850W, 1236W, and a close friend of mine owned a Baumatic BWM1000, and it looked like an exact clone of the Indesit 1196W, did Indesit and Baumatic have anything in common? Or was the BWM1000 manufactured before the Indesits or vice-versa? I hope to get along with everyone and share any discussions about vintage and modern appliances. I have a picture which shows the similarities between the Indesit 1196W/1236W and the Baumatic BWM1000. Cheers, Brandon. |

Welcome back Brandon,
You mentioned the Indesit 850W, my Grandma had an 850W,which she bought as a kitchen set, which she had for 10 years, nothing but trouble, oddly, about a year or so ago, the shop I bought my Hotpoint Aquarius Ultima 9566, had one up for sale, with one spot of rust on it, where exactly, I can't recall, but was somewhat ironic. If you're interested, I've got lots of Indie pics on my laptop, if you're on FB, I'm contactable there... or my YT channel's WD860, otherwise, to email me directly, my email address's on my AW profile page. www.facebook.com/CJDiLeLogicEtSap... I'll post a few to get you started. If you've seen any of my replica's of various machines on here, and would like one of an Indie, leave me a message & I'll see what I can do. Again, welcome back. I think Baumatic often put their badge on other machines. I had a Baumatic badged 1000rpm version of the machine shown in this youtube clip. If you check out the Baumatic website you will see their 9kg machine is a rebadged Samsung.

That machine in the video looks like an Areclik, and it says made in Turkey in the description.
Arcelik makes lots of brands, one of its main brands in the UK is Beko. Back to Indesit, they bought the whole of the Hotpoint group (Europe), in around 2003/2004, but i'm guessing you already knew that! Thanks Jacob |

Hi Paul, That machine does look like a clone of a Baumatic machine, there is also a model made by them which looks identical to a Servis M1302A, the model of the Baumatic is MEGAWDSS,
And thanks CJ, my dad also had an 850W, it was as you said, nothing but trouble, when it was on full speed, you'd think the neighbours where trying to drill through the wall, your 9566 is a very strong machine, I'm guessing it's one of the new Microtronic series machines.... Brandon |

On the Baumatic site the BOL machines look to be Haier made.
Jacob, My Baumatic may well have been an Areclik machine. It was a really solidly made little work horse and was a great stop gap machine until I could afford a higher spec machine. It only cost £120 brand new 5 or 6 yrs ago as it was a discontinued model. Link below is my old machine. CLICK HERE TO GO TO paulc's LINK |

Paul, just had a look at Haier and Baumatic machines and I can see some sort of relation between them. Lol at the mispelling of Arcelik!
Jacob, you mention the thing that a cheap Tesco washer is £159, from Wickes, I brought a Tricity Bendix AW1201W for only £199! Only lasted a 1 1/2 years (used to walk across the kitchen!). |

Hi Brandon,
The software I use, comes with Windows, MicroSoft Paint (MS Paint), I use Windows Vista atm, soon returning to Windows 07, with MS Office. Windows Vista MS Paint. fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2010/3... Windows 07 MS Paint 3.bp.blogspot.com/kZaspk5ogvw/TzW... If you're using a MacBook, the nearest to Windows's MS Paint, is PaintBrush, for your MacBook. But if you want any tips for creating your own replica's, let me know. You can always use PhotoShop if it's easier/less faff for you, whatever floats your boat. CJ |
