Hmmm. The logo looks vaguely Speed Queen, but the cabinet seems too squat for that guess. Experts, chime in!

This is the Easy you're working on right?

The big "E" is a giveaway as is the huge opening on the lower cabinet.

I've seen worse rust... But I am looking forwrd to seeing the resto'ed product.

it is the EASY. A true Beam machine!

She's got new belts, a total lube job and tucked up bearings and everything is put back together with Anti-Seize!

Now the finishing touches on the Cabinet.

A Steganator Easy! She is as broad in the beam and stable as a Stegasaurus!

another one of my childhood memories...

...the service and delivery department guys used to call Easy washers "Easy Money"...lots of Easys showed up as trade-ins and there was almost always money under the Surgilator...pennies, nickles, dimes and the occasional quarter. The delivery guys had first crack and I think most of them kept a hammer in their truck to "persuade" the agitator to come off, but some of those Easys were tuff old broads and the Surgilator stayed put...of course they were no match for my hammer and portable torch, and Easys were never put on the resale floor so I could be brutal with those poor metal agitators. Sometimes I'd find as much as a dollar which wasn't a whole lot but it still was like a treasure hunt.
