I guess it was too much trouble to get the box of detergent out of the way. Or would that be there on purpose with the lid up. It covers the timer perfectly!

Just curious...

Were the internal mechanics for the pre-Franklin Kelvy dryers made by Hamilton? It bears a resemblance.

It had the do all dial, there was a picture with the manual in the ad. The timer however is perfectly hidden behind that box of detergent!
