i need instructions on how to replace the inner metal tub in a Norge/Maytag performa washer because its starting to rust out. What im going to do is take out the old metal tub and put in a plastic tub, that way it wont ever rust. i know the plastic tub is compatible but i just don't know how to remove it and replace it on my own

I assume this machine is more than 20 years old?

If so this link might help...

This machine actually just turned 20 this year lol

Here is a pic of the inside (This is when i got it before the tub started rusting out) also the link you gave me might help me but i think its for a really old model.....

It may or may not fit, it would be easier to just repair the rusted areas with Two Part Epoxy enamel. The washer is not going to last another 20 years  and while they had trouble with rusting at the welded seems on the Norge Epoxy coated tubs I have never seen it get so bad that this was the cause for replacing the washer.
