Updated range

Well, videos are made very well, but here is just short - written:

Washing machines:
New PULSE8 technology - 8 jets spraying the laundry during wash, and 3 new programmes - All Baby, All in One, All delicate.
Capacities: 11kg wash
Washer-Dryer 11kg/7kg dry
Slim - 8kg

Dishwashers:
A little bit re-designed control panel, and new power jet, for extremely dirty pots and pans.

Top loaders:
Nothing much re-designed, only has the slow-opening system.

Oooh...

I rather like the look of the new dual jet-spray washers. I just hope they are robust for full load spinning.

The dishwasher looks very usable too. I like the idea of an ultra intensive zone for heavily soiled pots 'n' pans.

Now, I wonder if the UK will get them... because in the past, the top model of dishwasher from Hoover/Candy on sale in Italy, failed to materialise upon our shores.

Already Lied though

Bosch machines have had A-50% in Germany for long period, in fact just this month, Spanish Bosch (Germany also) have launched a A+++ -30% (A-60%) energy efficiency, so Why they have to lie I don't know. It also won't be first to UK market - Gorenje have some that efficient.
Also no drum volume increase in the 10Kg 74l drum, so 11KG is a huge push (not as bad as hotpoints 11, but you can tell they are trying to copy it)
The spray is Panasonic's idea too - they launched 6 jets spread out, whereas this one seems to come from the same place.

Anyway, there is a lot of good things about it I presume, but quality, its not as good as some. I'll be looking for them in shops, but if they are expensive, I would buy a Siemens or Bosch or even Panasonic over it.

Wonder if they use the same drum for slim 7kg and 8kg machines?

Total copy ;)
But I'd get the Hoover any day over the Samsung! Gosh, they're so bad! And spares cost as much as getting a new appliance!

Independent patents

Do you know that in this industry (and many more) - there are independent little companies, or just solo people, who create stuff like that, and sell them to manufacturers?

In this case, both Samsung and Candy bought the same patent from the company/person who created it. They are nearly identical - red, and the same shape (between triangle and circle). It was able due to fact that neither Samsung dishwashers are available in Europe, neither Hoover (Candy made) in America. Sales like that happend between manufacturers too. Don't worry - they can't copy stuff between them so easily, in fact, they can't at all! They all check up on competitive machines, and if they see something that is "theirs" they instantly press charges, and if prooven right, penalty is measured in millions of euro.

Anyway, I am happy they feature that..nothing negative :)

grando,
Rumor has it that those 8kg slim are 44cm deep, so drum is probably bigger :)

Rolls_rapide,
I really don't know why aren't the best models coming to UK, I really don't get that... Here, Candy is number 1 "most units sold in category: 60cm wide dishwashers" and really, many my friends have them, they are really good at washing, only lower models tend to be a little loud (52 db...). About life, well we can't say anything yet, however some of my friends have the futura from 2005 (which is technically basicly the same as these), every day used, still working, neither I've seen many of those when I was in service.
And for the washing machines - I hope they are robust enough to spin 11kg. If it can be taken as probable indicator, the Candy EVO 10kg model didn't show any stability problems so far, but let's not assume, time will tell ;)

I like the look of the 8 Way spray system, it looks far more effective than the Zanussi jetsystem single spray system. Nrones is the programming of the spray just the same as on the Candy evo's or does it stay on throughout the programme & as for the 11kg wash load i'm sure the machine can cope with such a large load bacause we have sold lots of large capacity Hoover Dynamics without one single problem.

It feels a bit gimmicky but I like it!

Why not... Hoover implementing some gimmicks to make their products even more appealing...

...well, yes... frankly I think that one's laundry would wash perfectly even without employing spectacular spraying systems... the wash water is in the drum all the time and it'll circulate accordingly no matter what... well... as long as the drum keeps revolving that is ;-)

I thought my next washer was gonna be a Candy Evo... now, I don't know anymore :-P

programming

Craig, I don't know anything about programming, however I assume Jet will be into cycle as much as it is on EVO's. Remember - that means it will be only during filling for the rinse, and it will be off during the rinse itself - preventing turning back of detergent that got settled down to come back on the clothes.
Thanks for your feedback about stability aswell :)

I originally thought back in the 80s, that the idea of those Jetspray designs was to reduce the amount of water to a bare minimum, spray it into the clothes until the water was used up, then spin it back out, and repeat several times over.

I'm not sure that the wash has improved substantially since the 80s, compared to higher levels of water.

I wonder...

...if they will bring them out in Germany as well. Candy Hoover has a "dependance" in Ratingen, which is our neighbouring town... The toploader is labelled in German so... By the way, we are not that happy with the 7 kg toploader from Candy so do not know if we would purchase another...

Oh...

And I just saw on the Samsung site that their dishwasher has a lower spray arm surplus which I have not seen on Hoover's. Can it be that it only has the "StormWash" disc or whatever it is called at CandyHoover's?
