It's amazing that people can't even tell you the brand of what they are selling - even when it is captured in the picture...

Or the way people  designate an age for something by pulling a date, out of their ass.

General rules: the younger they are, the older the item.

The older they are, the younger the item.

If this were a twenty year old this DW "it's like, from WAY BACK in the 1960s, or something..(duh)"

If it were a senior "Its a really nice machine that can't be more than ten years. Yeah, It was probably made the same year as my Oldsmobile regency 98."

And on eBay it's "Eames/Art Deco 50s" which even reads like a trainwreck.

Applliance guy - do you mean people that post ads like this that say "approximately 10 years old"?

We had that model as a portable when I was about 15 years old. That was 25 years ago.

the trainwreck comment was good.  Cool

Mark in NC-  I can just hear some sweet 70 year old  who has looked at this DW and then explains that

"it looks like new.  Oh dear, you should keep THAT.  It can't be,,   maybe, ten years old.  Look at the nice chrome."

I frequently scan Craigslist for old phonographs...
It's amazing how sellers refer to their phonos from the 50's and 60's as "antiques"...
