I'm not sure the age of my Maytag, it may be older than 20 years,, it has the lint screen inside the center of the agitator..

my bleach dispenser is leaking... I'm pretty sure it a loose or rotted hose or clamp...

can anyone tell me how to get to it to repair ?? it's in the front left corner

thanks
Kerry

The front panel comes off very easy so you will get direct access. Near the bottom are 2 screws you remove and lift the front panel off.

You have to swing out the bottom a bit before lifting off. Oh, and for reassembly, it helps to use something like a narrow screwdriver or awl or punch to help align the holes before attempting to put the acrews back in. Line up the holes on one side and then start the screw in the other but don't tighten completely before removing the place holder on the other side and starting that screw.

If you do not use the dispenser there is a "cap" that seals it off.  Seems most of the outter tubs had this fitting for this bleach funnel. I always figured if my hose started leaking i would try  to get the factory plug if it is available and just do away with it.  When i bleach i add it to a full tub of water with the detergent before adding laundry.  If you use it i am sure any hose that will fit the couplings and probably 2 new clamps, you will be good to go.   alr.
