Double-door Westy gearbox? |

We had a WH double door slantfront. Who here knows what was inside that transmission? Almost surely a planetary gearset but was there also some kind of fluid coupling arrangement to allow for spin acceleration?
We had to replace it once before replacing the whole machine ~1957. But since they just took out the old one and put a new one I never got to see what was in it. | ||
