I believe they are more than two years old. Looks like something missing on the dryer control panel, on the left hand side.

Much older than two years.  Nothing is missing on the dryer, that's an LED monitor for the dryness level.

The washer is an MAH3000AWW. I think those were only built until around 1999 when the MAH4000AWW's came out. That would make that 2 year old washing machine a minimum of 13 years old! I've seen exaggerations on CL before but this seems more like a bald faced lie.

The dryer could be newer than the washer though.

Maybe they bought them used and only had them for two years?

If I had the room for more machines, I would love to have a set like this.

These machines

Are much older than the seller claims them to be. This is a MAH3000 series washer and a Dependable Care dryer. Both are Newton built Maytags made well before 2010. If they were only 2 Yrs old they would be a WP built Maytag Epic-Z washer and a WP built Maytag Centennial dryer.

Also the dryer is not a Neptune match I believe.

No, the dryer is a Dependable Care, perhaps from a more recent date. The DC models were made until some years ago. This could be one of the last ones.

The seller must have gotten a lot of grief because the ad has been pulled. (I am pretty sure that at $800 for the set, it wasn't because he sold them)...
