A person I know has a Miele g562 de luxe electronic dishwasher they would be willing to sell to me should I but it?

Is it efficient ?
Loud?
Worth anything to anyone else?
Would any one trade anything for it?
Thanks

Yes, older Mieles are rather noisy machines, especially compared to modern dishwashers. The G562 probably has a noise level of 53.3 dB.

Efficiency, I don't know. I believe that depends on the series. I haven't found any numbers about the G562, but the G560 used 48 liters, the 560-2 28 liters on the normal cycle.

Here's a video I found on Youtube.

Instruction manual

Hi Ian,

As a matter of fact I have an instruction book on this model. The Universal 65 programme uses 1.8 kWh and 28 litres and takes 77 minutes or 54 minutes if connected to a hot water supply. The Economy 55 programme uses 1.4 kWh and 22 litres and takes 64 minutes or 47 if connected to hot water. These machines had very powerful pumps as you can hear from the video and cycles far shorter than any modern dishwasher. In an old brochure it mentioned that the pump could circulate an equivalent of 11,000 litres of water during a Universal programme!

Nice brochure

Hi Cyclemonitor,

Could you scan the rest of the brochure. It would be great to see how it was marketed in the US at that time. I see there is a heated dry switch on the panel which the EU models didn't have.

Thanks Loius ..
I forgot about that video.
That machine reminds me of my first cold water feed
dishwasher which in deluxe people where talking about.
The sounds get real quit while heating one of the best sounding machines ever
for me.
Cold water feed dishwasing is longer but
I love the the tempeture flexabilty in cold feed dishwashing.
If I get a Miele it would be cold feed.
Go for it nice machine.

Nice DW

Am pretty sure there is an adjustment dial on the side of the door panel it looks like a screw head with a slot. I may be totally wrong on this particular model but if they are there you can add or remove an extra rinse and the amount of water it uses :)

Definitively

A should-buy but it is loud as hell. On the other hand it cleans very well and is also fast...
