Love love love Gorenje, and these new machines look superb! I guess they will leave the 2000 spin for Asko if this is their top beast.

I also like the look of the new range of washing machines and dryers.
Haven't seen yet in shops this new 9 kg model.

I like the new kitchen scales.

A thread about this was baught up before back In September w

I remember these were at IFA according to other members on this site back in September.
They are launching a higher line touch screen model though not sure what the spin is on this.
It could be the end of 2000rpm though. I don't blame them, only Asko can make such reliable product (or not!) It is something to do with cost reduction I feel.
Quite good design too.

The thing that annoys me though is on questioning Gorenje about the cycles the whites wash only holds 2KG only goes to 40 and apparently uses a slow roll tumble?? How will this keep whites white?? They mentioned to me that in order to roll as slow as it rolls, a special motor is used, normal washer motors are not strong enough?? Is this more like a rock-a-by wash action instead??
Another thing is they wouldn't tell me if this was a plastic or metal tub, and if it was sealed or not. I am sure if it was metal they would say yes, so are they hiding something?

Just checked the diagrams for W7643L and it shows the carbotech tub, which is serviceable. Only one motor for the drum, it may be improved for this wash action.

This thread was just to give you a look at the new lifestyle brochure, if one needs a chill pill - I dont prescribe!!!

The "UltraWhite" programme is an additional wash programme taking advantage of modern detergents, low temp, long time, reduced action, rather like a tumble soak... and yes it may work for some people - HOWEVER, it does not replace a 95d high temp wash with a 9kg load as we are used to, and if you wish to use..

This machine is totally flexible from variable temps cold, 30, 40, 60 7 95d, variable spin up to 1600rpm...

I cant believe all the other products Gorenje produce - just love those funky scales....the new induction hobs and ovens are selling extremely well!!!

Lets hope the build quality is as good as the build quality on my current Gorenje washing machine and dryer

White program

gorenje's profile picture
As far as I know the special White program is intended for washing modern delicate whites as white women's shirts, t-shirts and white lingerie ... or such like.

It has nothing to do with the heavy duty program for sturdy whites.
