The Maytag set (first post) is a suds saver A606 and D606

Looks more like about a 1975 or 1976 A207S/DE408 pair to me.

I'm going to place them at being at least a late 1976 or later set, A208S and a DE408. The washer has the addition of the word "load" on the water settings, and if a matched set (which I'm assuming they are) the 408 didn't hit the market until 1976. Oh I wish I was in MN right now.

Tim, you're probably right about the A208S. I was temporarily thrown by the fact that there were only three water temp selections. Non-suds A208 machines had 4 temps (the addition of the "energy saving" Hot/Cold. But It seems to me that the suds machines did only have the three temp option. What I don't know is if on those machines the Hot wash had a warm or a cold rinse.

The WP dryer matches a washer I sold to a member in Atlanta.

Sorry for the mistaken identity, I had a really difficult time trying to figure out the water levels and temp buttons at 1:30 am when I couldn't sleep. I keep forgetting about the D606, which was also electronic control. Friend of mine's mom has that dryer in avocado that's auto dry and two dry temps. But the mate to that dryer is a 608.
