Checkrate/Likes For those who asked, here goes the first Mueller Special's video. This video was made to show that the machine is so easy to be used that could even be used by a 12 year old children. I'm sorry because it was made only in portuguese. As soon as possible, more videos will be posted, including some in English explaining all of it's details and features. Two nights ago I've made another video vith an overload test. The machine is rated 7kg (considering the brazillian standards) but I washed 14kg of rugs. More things that I can comment after several weeks using this machine more than 10 hours/day: 1) The 12-minute 800rpm spin is surprisingly excellent. (it can almost be compared to Frigidaire Affinity's 1100 rpm extraction) 2) My machine is the serial number 00001. The very first unit leaving the production line. It doesn't have intermediate spins, only neutral drains between the rinses. I loaded it full capacity with towels and added a whole scoop (the big green one) of Tide regular powder. The wash was full of suds but the final rinse was clear. (no softener used) This machine uses water enough for excellent rinses, no matter what kind of detergent is used. 3) It's distribution is the best I've ever used. The machine never skips a spin and no matter what load, it never takes more than 12 seconds to start spinning. (even loaded with only one very heavy and water absorbent sweater). The machine doesn't use a tachometer to detect if the load is balanced or not. It has several multi-directional accelerometers that detect the machine's vibrations instead. If the top of the machine reaches certain vibration levels, it aborts the spin immediatelly and restarts the distribution routine. The worst unbalanced load aborted and restarted the spin 4 times and took only 2 minutes more than the estimated time. The remaining time display also recalculates and it almost always shows the real time to finish the cycle. The biggest mistake it has done until now was reaching 00:00 during half of the final fluff. (less than a minute mistake) 4) The 100% plastic cabinet is also great. It helps improving the flexibility. During the beginning of unballanced spins, the top of the machine shakes and vibrates, but nothing annoying. The machine has never walked, under any circunstance. The machine has no recirculation pump but, considering that the water reaches 1 inch below half of the drum on the back, there's plenty of water to soak the whole load. The drying is unconventional and it's a Mueller's exclusivity. It mixes venting and condensation. It has a condenser that uses no water to dry and some of the air is exausted through the gap on the quick access door. Other manufacturers has used this before, but never with that airflow and exaust percentual. Drying times are really fast. This machine is rated 4kg for drying (7kg wet load load). This is the rated capacity for best performance drying without wrinkles. I've been drying full 7kg loads and they dry (after that I transfer the loads to the Affinity dryer and run the wrinkle release cycle.) Enjoy! CLICK HERE TO GO TO thomasortega's LINK

Checkrate/Likes *@Chestermike* This machine is mine and welcome to my laundry room. I'll post the video as soon as I discover a way to edit it to put together the two parts of it. My smartphone ran out of battery on the last minutes of the cycle (full cycle). By the way, can somebody here help me? Windows movie maker doesn't recognize the files generated by my Samsung Galaxy Smartphone. How can I put together two parts of RMVB videos?

It really does look like a fun machine to watch. I forgot to ask, does it have an internal heater for the wash water? I love the removable drum and those large holes. Looking forward to the next video. PaulC

Checkrate/Likes *@Paulc* It has an internal heater and it heats the water up to 60C really fast (My machine is 127V 60Hz) It's cold fill only, like most of the washers here in Brazil. The options are tap cold, 30C 40C and 60C. The heating is other very impressive feature. No matter how cold the tap water is, it always heats up to the selected temperature, no matter which cycle. It also doesn't have those dumb down temperatures. The temperature selection isn't related to the cycle selection. For example, the user can select the longest wash cycle with cold water of the quick cycle at 60C and it will work. The machine has two rinses as default on three cycles and 1 rinse on quick cycle. Extra rinse can be selected if the user wants, but this machine rinses so well that I use the extra rinse only if I use Omo, regular Tide or other high sudsing detergents. This afternoon I'll wash a duvet, make a video in english and post it immediatelly without any edition. Guys, if you have suggestions or questions, please post them here before I make the video. By the way, While making this mideo, I'll also broadcast it live by webcam. Checkrate/Likes Thanks for sharing that video. You need a cameraman so you can get out the drum with two hands! It's a fun machine and it has some great features. I really think it is a cool machine and would love to have one to play with. Unfortunately I don't think it would sell very well overhere. It uses a lot of water, which would make it difficult to get good ratings here. Because there are no spins between rinses it needs more water than machines that do. And in this climate we really want machines that spin faster than 800rpm, because a lot of laundry is dried in a dryer. Happy washing!! Louis

Checkrate/Likes Yes, Louis, you're absolutelly right. Mueller Special (the way it is) was designed for the Brazilian market, considering we don't have issues with water outage (but yes, we're also worried about the environment and savings) and the market still don't have a decent low suds detergents. Even worse, consumers love mountains of suds during the wash because they believe that if you can't see the suds, it won't clean. The spin speed is also related to our weather. Here, even our winters are very hot if compared to winters in Europe and most of the consumers linedry the clothes so, why spend more energy and perhaps cause more stress to the machine and the fabrics with faster speeds? Certainly, Mueller will adapt the machine and it's specifications before trying to reach each different market. Instead of only one globalized version, the idea is make a machine taylored for each market. This problem we have here in Brazil with competitors washers. For example, my Electrolux Ecoturbo, which is exactly the same Frigidaire Affinity in the U.S. On every home in the US, it's more than normal to find a hot water tap behind the washing machine. Here in Brazil they are ultra rare. Instructions here say to connect both hoses to cold water taps, but the machine doesn't compensate the cold fill by increasing the time. Hot wash is possible only in one cycle so more than 50% of it's features were lost. I don't have this issue because I installed a tankless water heater only for this machine. In this specific case, Mueller Special has the vantage because it has a powerful internal heater. No matter how cold the tap water is, it heats the water to the selected temperature, because the machine was designed considerin the reality in our market. Same with the rinses.... our sudsy detergents cause suds lock on most of the globalized front loaders, even using the recommended dose. Spinning would whisk the suds like a fouet. The solution they found was never spin and increase the water level. It works here in Brazil but in Europe it wouldn't make sense as the european detergents are low suds.
