Hi washermatic fans, newbie alert !!!!

I have a Bendix Compact 7159, cute sweet little thing it is, how ever its not without its problems, mainly a leaky front door seal and a leaky suds pump :(

I've sort of managed to fix the suds pump with a full strip down and the addition of a small o-ring as a seal which seems to have fixed that but the front door seal is being really hard to track down.

Otherwise its fully working with all its lovely mechanical timer advance that works off a cam on the rear drum wheel etc, almost worth using it with the back off it all the time just so you can see it doing its stuff.

Does any one have any ideas ??

Hi
And welcome =) I had a look and Electrolux no longer stock this part (not available to order), you could try emailng vertrieb@eudora.at
Or calling 43 (0) 2236 8120 73, or DW77, ext 76.
Eudora made this machine so you may have more luck there.
Regards Andy

Thanks Andy, looks like a slightly more modern version as mine doesnt have the suds draw.

Looks like it will have to come from germany by the looks of things

Hi Fur, I have the similar machine and Andy has been a great help with links & Etc.

I used a smear of Vaseline on my door seal to give a bit of life into the rubber. Also, if you slacken off the 4 8 mil bolts a couple of turns this will allow you to rotate the seal 180 degrees to bring a new bit into contact with the bottom of the door. This worked with mine, it now doesn't leak.

Let me know please how you get on with spares and where you get them from, I will ultimately need to replace all the seals.

Like you I love the way the programmer works.

Hope this helps. Philip.

Hi Philip

Its looking like the only place is from the link I found above using the part number from Andys link, working it out it seems like its about £30 although my german is pretty pants I'm not even sure if A) I can order it B)the shipping rate I used was correct for GB.

Suppose it depends if I'm brave enough to risk £30 on it ??
