So after finally moving into my new apartment, and thinking about whether I should purchase the same boring Whirlpool top loading type, or a reconditioned 20 year old Miele, I decided to go for the Miele.
At first the shop that I purchased this Miele W759 at only works on Miele washing machines for the greater Seoul metroplitan area. At first he wanted $ 530.00 USD fort this machine, becuase back in March 2012 he replaced the following parts:

• Ablaufpumpe ( Drain Pump )
• Motorkohle (carbon brushes )
• Lagersatz ( Bearing Kit )
• Türgummi ( Door Seal )

He did open the machine up and show me that these parts are all new, and I believed it because everything was clean and looked new. He also showed me the original receipt from where he obtained these parts directly from Miele Korea.
After going to this shop 5 times and long negotiating the price I gave him $ 400.00 USD and he delivered it to my house the next day. It works like brand new, and the wash results have been amazing for a machine that was manufactured between 03/1987 - 03/1994. The machine was orginaly purched by a US Army husband and wife that were stationed in Germany before moving to South Korea. This is why there is a lable on the front of the machine that indicates „ not for use in the USA or Canada „ I have since removed this lable.

Best of thanks to Paulc and Maturasigma for their advice back in May when I first started my decision making.
