I have found your forum (obviously!) and saw how much people love these dishwashers. We are having ours replaced and wondered if there was anyone near York, Pa (about an hour from Baltimore or Philly) who would be interested? The machine still works, but could use some tuning up.

But I do not have my van back yet! Anyone in that area who could get it for me and I would pick up sooner than later?

What model is this dishwasher if I may ask?

It's a Superba.
Here's a picture of the Serial number. I have no idea how old it is.

Just what do you mean by that... "but could use some tuning up"?

and it is from the mid 70's, 74-76 if i am thinking correctly here. they are great machines and the last model before kitchenaid changed the pumps and motors and added a second spray arm.

i collect old dishwashers and they are my favorite kitchenaid. i have about 10 of those 17's in various colors and models. your's is the suberba model, the top of the line when it was made.

i usually pay about 50 bucks for them when i get them.

Tune up

This unit runs well, and does all the things it is supposed to do, 'cept for that whole won't finish the dry cycle thing, and the detergent dispense door doesn't work. Once in the dry cycle, you need to cancel the cycle in order to start a new load,
