Let me rephrase that ... finally convinced my partner (after 6 years of us) that the LG front loaders need to go (they went today). Now, after many trade-offs at home, I finally will have the Avocado Frigidaire 1-18 set back as my daily drivers. Nothing like some long-overdue pulsating!!!!!!!

Dryer electric or gas?

Is the dryer electric of gas? Had a bad personal experience with the igniter of the gas dryer. I wish you better luck that what my family had. During the 17 yrs we owned the set, washer WIAS and dryer DIAGS, the service man came to visit at least 8 times to see about this dryer. The washer lint filter was changed from the "bed of nails" to a "strainer basket" was great too.

That double entendre wasn't on purpose, was it? Congrats on the return to really clean clothes.

My dryer

Is the electric model ... hope she runs for a long time ... or I will never hear the end of it from my partner. The people who bought my LG set were quite surprised to see what they were being replaced with. Now, I finally got my "water hog" back in the house!

Oh how I miss using a vintage machine. A few weeks ago when I did a massive amount of laundry at my friends house, I had to make my own warm rinse cycle. Well it wasn't that hard, after the first spin I reset the timer for the last 5 minutes of the wash set on warm then just let it finish using the last rinse in cold to add the Downy. My clothes were so much fresher smelling and cleaner than just one rinse in cold like usual when I do laundry. Even using the front loader I got to use last week, my clothes weren't as fresh. And that was with 2 rinses with one on warm.

AAAhhhh ... All is good in the laundry room tonight!!

Got the machines in and hooked up with my first washload pulsating away. I didn't realize how much I missed Water and suds ... that went away when I got the LGs. Now, the avocado set is safe and sound!!!
