I am looking for the electrical schematic for my 1967 Kenmore 800 washer. These are usually printed on a piece of paper that is then glued to the rear access panel. When this washer came to me it had no panel at all. This is one of the typically complicated higher-end Kenmore machines of the era. I am having timer problems which I have traced out to a stuck timer contact but working around this problem and possibly finding a replacement timer would be easier if I had the schematic. I know a few of you out there have this machine.
The exact model number of my machine is: 110.6614801 The timer numbers listed are 87936 or 87936. I think these are Singer timers which means they are next to impossible to work on. I have been offered a fully functional 87183 timer from a 1965 700 machine which offers the exact same cycle sequence but in studying it's schematic have realized that using it would mean the loss of many of the "fun" features of this machine. Here's a pic for those of you that like this sort of thing :) |

Mark I restored a pair of these machines [ The pair is available for sale if someone wants vintage pair that can be used everyday ] last year and believe that it does still have the wiring label on the washers back panel, call me if you still need it. This machine was too early to have a Singer timer, it probably does have a Controls Corporation of America timer, these have black molded Bakelite sides and yes they are harder to repair than the usal Mallory timers [ I think they were better timers than the Mallory timers back in the period they were popular ] CCoA was later bought by Singer and I was not a great fan of the later timers that Singer had manufacturing control over.
