No, it hasn't caught fire!

The blasted kidney shaped drain filter for one of the drawers is actually separating! I stopped cleaning the filter earlier this year to help prevent it from wearing out, as it appeared to be falling apart. Now, it seems after countless Normal, Heavy and Fast cycles that the filter will soon "give way."

For now, I've put the more minty bottom drawer's filter in there as the bottom gets far less use than the top, it is only used weekly or so for heavy loads, if that at all!

Does anybody have a solution - and no, we won't get another dishwasher or stop using the DD, its too good to go back to some household member's unhygienic washing ways (old washing up water, cold, full of soils and barely scrubbed using a SPONGE!)

Uh,

Ring F&P's Helpline with model/serial number, and your MasterCard, and have them send out a new filter?

Just a suggestion!

Hmm. Might be an option.

Might send an e-mail and enquire about getting the drain filter, or a possible discount.

I'm pretty sure that another user on here had a similar issue to me, so I'm kinda pointing this question at them (Rapunzel, I think?)

By the way, does anyone have a possible idea as to how I could maybe stick the filter back together? Its still in one piece, and around 50% Separated so far...
