I was at my local Comet and saw this 1600 rpm Electra.

.Build quality to me is horrable, the dial for the spin speed turned way too easily and felt loose to the touch
.Door was very wobbly felt very very cheap to the touch.
.Drum looked ok but only 3 lifters.

Overall if given a choice of either the Electra or Beko id deffinately get the Beko.

"Drum looked OK but only 3 lifters"
How many paddles/lifters is it supposed to have - 10?
All washers have 3 lifters these day's.

We have a Bush machine (they're very similar to the Electras) in our local Argos and the dial doesn't click into the program, the buttons wobble around a lot and the whole thing feels shoddily built. There is an Indesit next to it which only costs £20 more, yet the Indesit feels like it could actually withstand some abuse.

I'd sooner have 3 deep paddles over the 4 shallow bumps that the old Servis-Electra had.

I'm sure Zanussi have a slime line model with just 1 paddle.
