Did I miss the thread on it or did Panasonic quietly launch a heat-pump dryer in Europe?

Good concept, wonder how much less expensive to run it will be than Miele / V-Zug etc....and what is a sazanami drum, thats a new one!!

The dryer looks good but (imho) dont like the door, it needs a contrast trim or glass!!

Why does that dryer looks like a mix between the BEKO/BLOMBERG design and a BSH machine? If you look closely to the panasonic washers it's almost certain they are BSH design (maybe even build?)

Something I don't really get is the fact that they claim to have a dual temperature mode. Or they can raise the temperature with additional heat, or all other dryers have the same option but just don't market it.

I reckon BSH have something to do with Panasonic, as they do all look similar, and so far, until this new Panasonic, only BSH have been able to claim the A-60% energy efficiency for a heat pump dryer.
Wonder if this one cleans the condenser itself?
Hate the door, They should put on the same door they use on the washing machines, as that has a protection glass on it anyway.
Bet it is at IFA in Berlin, which starts today???

After reading the instruction Manual, especially the programming pages, It is laid out exactly the same/very similarly as a Bosch, it even mentions the exact things a Bosch mentions. If BSH haven't had input in the dryer, then I think there will be another court appeal, from BSH, juts like the one Apple & Samsung have had!

IFA starts on the 31th. The new Miele dryer will also have a TurboDry mode and is rated at A-65% and Beko already sells a -60% dryer as well.

I would still prefer the Panasonic over the Bosch of Siemens. Although the Panasonic does not have the selfcleaningcondensor, it has the fluff filter in the door. Way easier to clean in my opinion.
Is there anyone going to IFA? Otherwise pictures would be nice ;)

@askomiele
ive seen these dryers in the flesh today in John Lewis, you still have to clean the heat pump manually.
the water tank looked like the ones used in the hotpoint CTD00p, they also have added a cap to the water tank to supposidly reduce spillage when carrying.
they look very nice and are very well made, they are made in PRC, so these are deffinantly nothing to do with B/S/H

This is the first that I've heard of a dryer too!

And I really hope that they are reliable!

An independent shop which deals in Panasonic Audio/Visual products, recently got rid of the Panasonic washers due to problems with the machines, problems with the service network for the machines, and problems with supply of spare parts.

In their place are Miele washers.

And John Lewis are selling it at £749. It is a little on the dear side for me.
