Oh My Gosh Eddie! That's the TOL dream set with the tilt out controls and the hidden timer that was a rapid advance type. A WH service man told me a little about them and said that when you pressed one of the buttons, the first thing you heard was the timer ticking to the start position for the selected cycle. I took a picture of this set to the bakery for a frosting picture for one of our wash-in cakes. We thought they would all be rusted out by now. Oh my heavens.

Are you going for them?

Tom, I remember that cake from the 2002 wash-in.  SOMEBODY SAVE THIS SET TOGETHER!!!   I've been around these parts since 1999 or early 2000 and this is the first of these I remember ever seeing still in existence anywhere.

The only set I saw was in Davison's on Peachtree Street. I remember the lift out fabric softener dispenser on the edge of the control panel where it met the top of the machine. Looking back, the price would be a terrible waste of money for a machine that would not last as long as a Maytag.

My scout den mother, Ms. Ruth just got rid of this set. It was her mother's who lived in a partially detached part of the house she and her husband, Charles Langenfelder, who was a major contractor/builder of homes in my home town.Charles died and Ruth is 88 years old and can't keep the house up herself. She said that they thought of saving them for me but couldn't find out how to reach me. I may go ahead and buy these if the price is right. They both have interior lighting and the logo button you see on the right side is the light switch. The washer also has dispensing and the dryer has a spot to put water to sprinkle clothes. They both also have a needle to show what cycle you're using and what its doing.the cycle selector is an octagonal cylender that turns showing the time, temperature, speeds and which part of the cycle it's currently in.The "Lint Ejector arm is red and the other one is black. They are not evenly distributed, they are close together and are the only two arms in the drum. That, along with the strangely designed tumble pully, which is oval,is how the washer is noted as having "Multy Speed tumble. Flush, lift, turn, tumble 47 to 55 times a minute.Lots of action in splashing suds and water on the window especially fun to watch with the light on.

Has anyone contacted the seller yet?   I just sent an e-mail.

Yes I have talked to the seller and we are negotiating a deal, this has been a pair that my brother Jeff and I have dreamed of owning ever since Jeff worked on one of these washers 35 years ago. The seller said that the washer stopped working years ago and the dryer worked until recently.

Well, I am so glad someone was able to make a deal on these, they are too new for me. However, I am somewhat local so if I can be of any help feel free to ask.

ditto
I'll bet it's got something to do with its motor or the berrings
. Nonetheless. It will have a nice home and be an easy fix for John. They'll have to make a video of both units in the entire cycle.

Congratulations John on getting these, I'm happy they are going to a good home.  One of these years I hope to come and visit you and see the warehouse in person!
