I have a 1996 Hotpoint made Electra & i know that quite a lot of you have Hotpoint Aquarius Washers from around the same age. I just wanted to know out of curiosity does your machine sense the load imbalance then attempt to re-balance the load or does it like mine just abort the spin all together then goes onto the next rinse.

I have Electrolux. Might be the same motor controller. Is yours brush, the z-z-z-z-z sound on spin? It tries to rebal but if the clockwork timer runs out it goes to next rinse whether it ever spun or not. Doesn't happen much but does happen. More clockworks work like that. More electronics wait for spin confirm.

My Frigidaire Affinity model is the most sensitive and will abort spinning all together if the load is too severely off balance. My Miele and LG models are less sensitive and rarely have issues with a little vibration during the spin. However, my old Westinghouse Space Mates from 1988 will spin no matter how severe the balance is. |
