 Hi Everyone.

Well this is my latest vintage washer. I dont know how old the machine is but I think its from the late 1980s.

It has the original drain hose which is made of rubber and no sign of any wear and tear. Has no problem with an unbalanced load and weighs a ton. One thing I noticed when it goes into a spin it does not tumble in one direction, but tumbles as if its washing then goes into spin.

Really pleased with the machine.

I really like that washers, I have a w751 and w757 with the same wash cycle it gives never a better washer than this machine :)

In your pic above, is that a garage your crew is sited in?
You're lucky, atm, I've got 02 at home in the garage (usually 04, Míele Navi & Bosch Logixx WFT), & my others are in a mix of sheds, my  Hoover EcoLogic's in my Grandma's main garden shed, one of my Servis Sapphire's (9700) is in a mini Keter shed, my other Servis Sapphire's (9635) in with my Maytag €uroLine in the XL Keter shed & finally, my Grandma uses my Zanussi JetSystem WJD as her "daily" driver.

My parents have an Aqualtis, the 1400RPM Washer Dryer.

All my collection consists of Washer Dryers, the only 02 that're AutoWashers, are my Míele NaviTronic & the Maytag €uroLine.

 All machines are connected to the cold water pipes and all machines have to connected to the drainage. Even got a heater in there for when it gets cold.

Fantastic arrangement Paul - lots of telly's to watch, whilst you are on your exercise kit! :-)

Liking the semi integrated Miele - that one a recent acquisition? Your Hotpoint toploader still around?

What did you use for your worktops? - that is the next and pretty much final job (barring a new entrance door) that needs doing down the bottom of the garden ....

Paul R, great job, you wouldn't be able to tell it was a garage! Looks more like a laundry room for a gym!

MatchBoxPaul, loving the machines, and also the wood panelling! Great stuff!

I too love the decor panel miele and hotpoint toploader! How are you getting along with the new LG?

Matchboxpaul knows my feelings on there Derbyshire washshack! I'm due a visit ;-)

 Hi Paul & Darren.

Paul, my partner made the worktop out of chipboard and placed stick on floor tiles. One of my ex partners came to do the plumbing work so all machines are plumbed in and ready for action. I do have a heater for when it gets cold and the boiler is in there, so warm and cosy in winter months.

As for the top loader. We sold some car boot items and the guy made a great offer on the top loader, he paid well over the odds but put a smile on my face. I have the laundry side and the other half has the gym side.

I love your laundry room Paul, you got some really nice vintage machines. What did you use for the floor covering, looks great.

Darren, I also love your new laundry room and noticed you getting a nice collection together. Have you a heater for the room. I bought a portable gas heater and our boiler is in the garage so quite warm in the winter. As I said to Paul, I sold the toploader as a guy made me an offer not to refuse, lol. How are you finding the twin tub?. I tend to use the spin dryer side on mine as it cuts down on dryer cost so much.

Hotpointfan, thanks for comments. When I fall out with other half I go in garage and sulk, lol.

Hi Paul.

finding worktops are proving to be a bit of a headache, as they are sooooo very expensive and we need them to go all the way round our room. Plus they need to be durable enough to have dryers and the odd washer sat on top of them and also not rot, for when rob decides to use the hot wash function and steam will pour out of the vents on the back of the machines.
Nowt is ever simple. Grrrrrr.

Plumbing was also a major hurdle, but a neighbour a few doors up turned out to be a retired plumber - a days work and we were hot and cold mains connected. Currently disconnected though for the winter months, with the wash house being at the bottom of the garden.

The floor originally was a rotten woods floor, to the point where you were almost falling through it and a bit of concrete.
Had the floor fully concreted out and then had one of those floors laid that you find in hospitals - bit like sandpaper - which extends up the skirting board. Water proof and hopefully durable.

By spring next year, we have to be out of Cheshire storage and all the machines have to be moved over to Derbysire, so worktops have to be in by March at the latest. Time flying by! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
