Yep, we're at that time of the year when a certain hubby has started to drop some less-than-subtle hints about the number of "projects" in the garage (and which despite my best intentions, I haven't gotten around to yet...) I also had surprising luck this year and found a couple of dream machines (and another one coming soon!). But unless we can dig another basement or add a third story to the house, I have to thin out the collection and well I wanted to offer them up to automaticwasher.org members first.

First offering - the 65 Maytag washer and 63 Maytag dryer set. They are in great condition cosmetically and operationally. I replaced the water valve on the washer with a NOS Maytag three-solenoid one and I had to replace the drain hose.
On the dryer, I only had to replace a couple of light bulbs! The drum door seal needs to be replaced and I have the original NOS part, but just never got my lazy arse in gear to change it.

Next up, a GE 1-SU60M3 built-in pull-out dishwasher. Partially reconditioned (I had to replace the water inlet valve, the tub gasket, and I replaced the tub lid with one with the original vents in near-perfect condition.
The turquoise door panel has not been replaced in this photo, but it is in very good condition.

Here's a photo of the GE with the turquoise panel in place; that goop on the front is gone now, though!

This is weird to be offering up my very first 'vintage' dishwasher...
Yep, it's the 78 Kenmore front-load convertible that I bought for Chris' country house years and years ago. It has not been used since we moved to Ogden but it is still in great shape. Tub and racks are excellent; the cutting board top needs some TLC. This one comes with the original owners manuals and use and care guides!

Oh, did I ever mention that this dishwasher once belonged to George Bush? Yeah, you know, George and Ruth Bush on Yonge Crescent, just two doors down from the Emslies? Well, Ruth used to work with my late mother at the Bay in Pointe-Claire and.... Hey, where did everyone go? LOL

And here's the third vintage dishwasher I ever owned - one of the first series of Maytag portables, a WP600. The machine works great but the upper rolling rack has a really serious case of "rack-rot" so I have never actually used it. I think there is a cup shelf missing from the lower rack too...

Money shot of the Maytag.

Please contact me either via the board's message system or send me an email. I have to get some space quick ('cause I gotta make room for a 57 GE washer...)
