The Frigidaire Dishwasher featured in the Picture of the Day seems reminiscent of the early Kitchenaid designs such as the twist handle and timer knob on the bottom. Not that KA was the only other manufacturer that used the same look and designs either.Just seems to be what was contemporary at the time.
Also,was this a Spin Tube design or was it a pumped water/impeller design?
Are there any parts diagrams or use and care manuals around on this unit?
I would like to see just how similar this was to what other manufacturers were doing with their own designs.

They were pump-fed spray tubes. I think one reason why early manufacturers of drop door DWs, including Hotpoint & what was to become D&M, placed timers below or to the side of the door was to avoid problems with wires flexing & then breaking where the door was hinged.
