Would this be the Kenmore Kart washer I had seen mentioned on this site at one point? Wonder how long they had this washer for sale?

I think you're right Andy. Only mention of it I see in this forum is a thread back in 2008.

Hoover ?

Barcoboy,

Great stuff. Nice machine. And, quite probably, also pretty rare.

BTW, did you buy it?

Another strange case of Hoover not being a Hoover ?

Here is mine's Baycrest twinnie (looks, indeed, quite a lot like the more familiar Hoover T-1001, or the well-known model 0517)... Perhaps both Kenmore and Baycrest got some kind of ''permission'' from Hoover to trade appliances under their brand names. To make an analogy, I remember the 1970's stereos sold by Sears Electronics which were made in fact by the likes of Hitachi or Panasonic. Maybe Hoover did the same with some of their best selling washing machines... Not sure though.

unclejohn, no I didn't buy it... it's up in the Saguenay. Again, no vehicle to transport it with. There's a few things up in the Saguenay that I wouldn't mind picking up though. I guess the timing is not right.
