The new GE Top Load HE washer is now on their website for those who are interseted, and it comes in black, as well as white. It is also surprisingly built in the US!!

There has been a bit of discussion about this particular machine in another thread.

I can't say that I'm all that impressed with their technology.

I just wish that they bring back a modern version of the Filter-Flo.

I want the Filter Flow design,too!and with the agitator instead of the impeller.

I know about the ongoing thread, I wanted to start a fresh thread so no one would miss this on the website. I really like the look of this machine. Whether or not it's good, remains to be seen.

Looks to be a liquid detergent only dispenser. And I don't think it is all that smart. You have to tell it how much to dispense. The Whirlpool uses some fuzzy logic to determine how much to add per load.

I always chuckle when I see that!!

Looks like an interesting machine. Wonder if you used good old fashioned Persil powder at the appropriate temps with no FS would you ever have a need to clean your "basket"
