I am looking for an outlet duct and grid, part #306657, to repair my 1980 Maytag electric dryer. It is no longer made and I'm hoping there is a used one out there somewhere.

That part was originally #3-13974 (often listed as 3013974).

Have you tried doing a general search for that part?

If that fails, call Larry at Modern Appliance near Cleveland 216-661-6966.

That part was used for at least 8 years (perhaps more) on ALL Maytag dryers.
There is also a good possibility that someone on here has one lying around...

I don't remember the part numbers but, I do know the part did change. It went from the part in the picture to the whole lower part of the front bulkhead. It was 1 piece instead of unscrewing the front piece/plate....if this makes sense. In other words if you wanted to clean out the lint that often collects in the bottom you would have to reach in from the top or up from the bottom.

My point being, make sure the part number didn't change to another number that may actually be available.

Actually I did check myself, and it does say NLA :(. Maybe someone will have an extra around to make a deal with.

As common as this part is, SOMEONE here has to have one. By the way, Janwagner was one of my customers today at the store, Welcome to AW.org!

The dryer is a relatively uncommon DE409, if I recall correctly.

I second calling Larry at Modern Parts House in Parma, OH.
