When I was a kid the neighbor across the street had the Whirlpool version of that pull-out gas range. I think it was coppertone. They also had a '50s slant front Westinghouse Laundromat and matching dryer that rarely got used as they owned three real laundromats! |

These are definitely WP built Kenmore Electronic Control machines. They were made by WP for Sears from 1986 through the late 90's. This set is later in the series though as it uses the 27 inch cabinet dryer with lint screen in the door. This is evident by the higher mounted dryer door and a 27 inch cabinet to match the washer. I can also tell these are later machines by the fact that the label on the console is on the right. On my first production 1986 set it is on the left and right.
Whatever the age these are some of the best home laundry machines ever made. I hope someone here grabs them. Here is a Pic to show the difference. WK78 ![]() |

WK78(Post# 636064, Reply# 25) - Those electronic Kenmores in almond are very nice; did the lint filter always appear on top and what was the tub color, blue or gray? I am guessing...it might be white inside.
I like some of the older style Speed Queens. Too many are too plain vanilla boring looking to me, even though they last 80 years**** or more and can wash the world's clothes without breaking a sweat(well, the second half might be true).... **** for more humor, after reading, in Deluxe, Thread Number: 43425 "Speed Queen washer for sale" Post# 638471 11/12/2012 at 10:40am by Yogitunes).
