I found this Hoover washing machine in a boiler brochure that I had from 1991 but I don't think I've seen one of these before. Anyone got any idea and more information on it? It looks like the make and model has been scrubbed!!
Cheers
Stephen

Hi stephen.

That is a Hoover A3492 Computer Logic 1300, top of the range machine from the second range of Logics.

A very smart machine, though they did discolour as they aged...

Thanks Paul

I knew I'd seen it somewhere before but couldn't remember the number. I used to think these looked really cool at the time with the red and green displays. I guess they still do unless they discolour too much! I seem to recall that the lettering on this range wasn't that robust and would fade and rub off!

Hi Stephen.
Yep - from this point onwards, Hoover began to develop issues with wording that rubbed off fascias, that baceame chronic with the New Waves where a quick wipe over would successfully remove your programme guide!

What year were these manufactured? It looks similar to the ones I saw at Harods and Selfriges when I visited back in '94. They all were plugged in for demonstration and I was worse thena child running through the toy department looking for Barbie and Ken.
