Does anyone know nuch about this washer? It has been in the family for years and not we must get of it. Any idea (if anything) what the worth would be on this?
I tried to google it but not much pops up.

Coronado was a brand of appliances sold by Gambles/Western Auto stores in the U.S. but I don't recall which Canadian retail outlets carried them.  There was a thread regarding a wringer of this make not all that long ago.  If you use the Super Searchalator and type in "Coronado" you should be able to pull it up.

As for value, it depends on the condition of the machine and finding the right buyer but regardless, I will caution you not to expect a windfall.

Coronado

Coronado washers were sold in McLeods Hardware a chain store that was located throughout western Canada..... I remember them well!

Here We Go Again

We are all aware of the connection between Western Auto and Wizard, but this measuring glass, which I found at a thrift store and is now in the possession of another member, associates both Western Auto and Gambles with the Coronado brand.

Thank you

Well, live and learn. I had only seen Wizard appliances at Western Auto stores in the South. This is a neat factoid to know for the appliance version of Trivial Pursuit.

Yeah Pat, the picture of that glass was posted in the other Coronado thread I mentioned, where the same distinction had been made with regard to Gambles = Coronado and Western Auto = Wizard.  That's what prompted "here we go again."

When I spotted that glass at Savers a couple of months ago, I had no idea that I had found something akin to the Rosetta Stone.

So has mine!  I'm glad I was able to help.  Changing out a cold control isn't a scary operation to perform, and the satisfying results are well worth the cost and time spent.
