Prior to 1963 when zip codes were invented, prolly could have guessed that.

272rpm spin? Leisurely. Didn't say boltdown but with all the details about how the timer and water switch worked, didn't mention or show suspension. Maybe at 272, don't need one?

I would have to guess early to mid-50's based on the styling (tho I'm no expert here).

I would LOVE to have one, if they ever existed or if any still remain!

272 RPM - leisurely?   Not compaired to the '57-'60 Kenmore/Whirlpool combo @ 200, or the GE combo @ 225 RPM... now THAT is leisurely!   It does seem "up there" considering it has no suspension!   LOL   I'd bet it would tend to "dance around" a bit especially if it was slightly off balance, unless they had something to control the "dancing".

I beleive this is a rebadged Bendix bolt-down model. Has to be bolted to the floor, as it has no suspension.

Perhaps, but did Bendix make an 18 LB machine in what ever year this is from???

Bolt down? The copy should have said, but of course you can't count on ads to fess up. It DID say that it had leveling feet, which strongly suggests it wasn't bolted down.

Yes, 272 is in the range of the unsuspended/unbolted combos. Slant Westys had 5 leaf and 3 coil springs and a weight damper but they would still dance.
