Just had to finally let my bubble break and tell you all about my new baby. My friend Chris in NY found her on Craigs List up there. She is an N2LPS with the wrappers still on the wringer rolls. Chris said she was dirty but he gave her a good bath. I ask him to remove the papers from the rolls so as to not stick. I did this because who ever used this once or twice never took the paper off. She is spotless and I can't wait to go over to NY and pick her up. This is the best part. The seller only wanted $50 for her !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He grabbed her up immediately and called me. I live in a 4 room apartment and have 3 Maytag Wringers now !! I have a place for her in my harem. She may not get used as much as the older ones. She was manufactured in 1980 one year older than my E. Anyhow just had to tell you all. Now for the haul to NY. I will be renting a van to bring her home in.

Best !

Jim

Paper still on the wringer rolls?  Very cool!  Can't wait to see pictures of the new "girl" lined up with her sister-wives :-)

CONGARTS JIM!

I don't know how some people get so lucky. Must be good karma. I've seen quite a few people in here with stories of "new" never or rarely used machines. I'm surprised when I see that there are some new ones still out there. I looked and you saw what I came home with! Speaking of witch, I mean which, I better get back to my re-assembly. My gaskets showed up today. That's the high light of MY day.

Congratulations again on your great find Jim!!

Wringer # 4. Long may she reign!

That's a heck of a deal on a machine with virtually 0 miles! No worries about discoloring the tub on an N2L, so the kid gloves come off in the chemistry department. This is one of the main reasons I'm looking for a really nice J2LP.

Thanks

to all. I am anxious to get her home. She is in good hands with Chris tho. He has 3 gals himself. He is another one doing a restore on an old E. I will be going over to get her in a couple of weeks. I have to wait on some parts to come in to take with me for Chris. He needs a new bottom roll and the Amish found one for me for him. Thanks again to all !

Jim

Congrats!  Can't wait to see the unveiling photos.  Truly a fun find when the paper is still in tact!

Hey Jim,

As long as you're picking up some other stuff from the Amish, would you do me a favor check to see if they have a black standard agitator available? If at all possible I'd like to return Bessie Mae to her original stock condition.

Thanks!

Larry

Congrats, Jim, That's fabulous! Where in NY does she come from?

I know exactly how you feel. If I may, here's the Mana from Heaven Norge that landed a few years back. New in Box and wringer paper in tact.

Can't wait to see yours.

What a find, Jim! You must be thrilled. As far as the constraints of apartment, you know I can relate! My two-bedroom is filled with 2 wringers, 2 twin-tubs, and 1 portable dryer. Good thing I have a huge entry-way - that's where I store my wringers (besides, I want them on display for everybody to see when they walk in!)
