What does it mean?

The "sign thingy"is FRIGIDAIRE's "Sheer look" the right angled design that was introduced back in 1957.It set the pace for all appliance manufacturers to follow for decades introducing pastel colors in the 50's and 60's along with bolder more earthtone colors in the 70's.

The washer goes on the left

Oh dear, the lid and the door will conflict. But all newlyweds have their quirks.

Seriously, awesome set! Matched pairs are the best! It just isn't the same if it ain't a matched set.

Aren't you gonna catch cold walking barefooted in that cold garage? Your mom brought you up better than that! :-D

Congrads Steve!

My Mom had the same set. That was the first set that I was taught to do laundry in.

Compwhiz128--- You can see the original model for the 'sheer look' arm pose if you go to the SUPER forum and scroll down to the thread called "1958 Frigidaire Appliances Brochure".

Thanks for all the compliments everyone. jasonl is right, the washer is intended to be on the left and the dryer on the right. I was too tired and lazy to do that, but will correct the issue, is it does conflict with BOTH lids! I am so used of my Maytag's being there that I guess I wasn't thinking, hooked up the dryer and, well, there you have it.

westytoploader, yes I did dry a huge load of towels, it does ok, but needs something, as it takes a long time. I'll figure it out. The timer needs some help as well. kennyGF are you watching?

we are having a great time with them so far. Did all the laundry for this weekend last night in them and WOW, it was so cool.

yes the collection is growing, I do hope they are happy and make plenty of children!!!

Thanks again all

Steve

Steve, if the motor is what's acting up on the timer, I have an extra one if you need it...forgot to throw it in. Just let me know.

I wonder what would cause the load to take so long? Could possibly be a heating element. I never used the dryer myself, but the girl who had it before didn't have any complaints about it taking too long to finish.
