Good day, i want to know, i can get a indesit dishwasher for free because the people dont have space for it in their small home, but before i take it i want to know is it a good or a bad dishwaher, i had an AEG 525 favorit dishwasher that did a VERY good job at washing the dishes, but the pump housing cracked and with the force of the water through it no glue sticks there. But heres a pic of the dishwasher i can get it looks almost the same.
In my family in Italy we've had three dishwashers like that in a row (we were a quite large family). In the years, the aesthetic has changed: the older ones where chrome, the brown one like that in your picture is the latest series.
It is a very old concept, indeed, I would say a "rudimentary" design. It has three baskets but inside there is a "tower" to feed the spray arm, which makes the baskets less usable. The timer is merely mechanic and the heater is exposed at the bottom of the tub (no plastic in the lower basket). Tub is stainless steel.
Really, really, really, really noisy: impossible to stay in the room while the dishwasher is working. And have I mentioned how noisy it is? However water pressure was quite strong (be aware of light items turned upside down by the water jets).
As far as I can remember, they are neither particularly good nor especially bad at cleaning (but water was harder than the hardest water) and did not like crowded loads, let alone bobloads (although honestly my old top-of-the-line AEG re-badged Electrolux was quite fussy too when it came to load it).
Not a great choice of programmes: mainly a wash cycle with or without pre-wash plus a "bio" (this is how it was called) programme which just had a longer and hotter pre-wash. If I remember correctly, pre-wash was warm, although not hot.
Our machines were very prone to rust (and they were not treated particularly badly, but washed two loads every day) but at that time it was possible to replace the cabinet at a reasonable price.
I can only guess the consumptions, but as far as I can remember it used lots of water and thus also power.
Please note that these are memories of many, many years ago, and in my opinion at that time expectations where higher and dishes where dirtier (we cooked more than we do today).
