Re: Laundry Studio:

Hey! Austin, what a great Laundry Studio. The Window with the Display of your Laundry Products and Sign looks fantastic. I'm curious to know why you've got the top off the White-Westy Washer, is it "fyi" for being able to look inside while it is operating, or???

Enjoy your new Laundry Studio and your Collection of Appliances and Vacuum Cleaners, etc. "Merry Christmas" and a very "Happy New Year" to you and your Family...

Peace, Holiday Cheer and Hugs, Steve

great collection

You have a great collection started Austin. I certainly think you have the coolest parents. Maybe one day I can make it to a Texas Washin. I was considering the Arizona wash-in, But my Christmas gift to mom was the remaining season concert tickets to the Fort Smith Symphony. She has been wanting to spend some time with me. One of the dates is the weekend of the wash-in. Perhaps next time.

Tell me about the Frankenmore, has to be a story there.

I was there!

Seems like I was there just yesterday, except the 1-18 dryer and the record player is gone lol. You do need a vintage stereo in your laundry studio so you can play your 5th Dimension records while washing. Of course, we did stop the music to hear the quietness of the Unimatic.

That green '67 Kenmore is so beautiful. Please fix it, don't throw it away.

Hi Austin, wow your Laundry Studio is a dream come true! Love the turquoise walls by the way, its my favorite color. Gosh when I was a teenager a Laundry Studio, much less any vintage washer, was only a distant dream, far out of my reach. I sure hope to make it to a TX wash-in someday to see it in person.

Kenmore Dryer

My Dad has the 1967 dryer that is the same model and your avacado washer. If it were avacado it would be a perfect match. He still has it with one repair in 38 years and still going strong!

Very cool, Austin! As with Robert, I think it's great you all ready have a collection and a dedicated laundry 'shed'. At your age I was still trying to sabotage our 1960 Kenmore washer so that my parents would be forced to buy a new one. That thing just wouldn't die, no matter how much I abused it. Plus, my parents were die-hard Sears people, so they would have probably just replaced it with another Kenmore, rather than the GM-era Frigidaire I so dearly coveted...

Vacuums

Hey I really like the vacs you have. I love old Dial a Matics. They are the best! What's your favorite of your old vacs? Is that a Lewyt stick vac? Your room looks real neat and organized. Keep up the good work! Tim

Very Cool

What a great job you've done Austin creating the Laundry Studio. Hoping the New Year brings more additions to the collection.

Enjoy...

The work continues.......

Thank you all for wonderful comments! The laundry studio and accompanying hobby studio are still a work in progress! Hopefully when the spring thaw arrives (yikes, it's going to be 76 degrees here today), there will finally be completion!

If any of y'all are traveling through the Lone Star State, you will be OBLIGATED to visit for some sudsy jetaction!

Venus :-)

Looks great ...

Very nice, Austin!! I bet it's fun to go out there and just have time to yourself with the things that you like.

Venus ... 76 degrees?? Did you want us to ship you some of our "just at freezing" weather? Actually, if we had it a little colder, I think it would "nip" this nasty cold bug that seems to floating around Minnesota. I believe this thaw and freeze effect gets little "germies" floating around again!

We're just under the freezing point today, with heavy fog, which is freezing to the roads. I went downtown and slid all over the place. Yee-haw!

Good Grief!

It's gonna be in the mid-70's again today! I'm wearing flip flops and a t-shirt. I haven't even been able to wear my faux fur coat! WAHHHHHH!

C'mon down to Texas and thaw out!

Venus

Nice job! And the colors go well together, including the backyard-green visible through the window.

I like that turquoise for bathrooms as well as laundry rooms. Goes well with anything having to do with water. Though, yellow for kitchens, for warmth in the morning.
