That is a model A308. It was introduced sometime in 1977 and was discontinued in July of 1980.
It is a single speed machine and was the lowest featured machine that featured the "big (19 gallon) tub." There were also smaller machines in the line-up that had a 16 gallon tub. That is a great washing machines and someone will likely want to take it off of your hands. It is collectable to the right person but not exactly rare. The fact that it works is good but it may well need a fair amount of refurbishment if someone wanted to use it regularly for another 10 or 20 years! The control dial shows the typical "Spray and Wash" effect that has removed some of the lettering. In terms of price I would not expect anyone to offer you more than $50 - $100 for it. I would love that washer Mary. But I'm in Cali. So beautiful. Always wanted one like that. And from the 50's. wow. Wished I lived in the 50's. I would have had a lot of neat stuff! |

I've officially posted it for sale on Craigslist. Any other ideas on where I can sell it or maybe there's a shop in El Paso that collects them? Thanks for all the help! Hopefully I can find it a good home. |
