Check out the pics, the washer has a temp knob and a cycle knob, NO water level or Speed. And it looks like the logo says 16, not the famous 1-18. What is this?

speeds are in the cycle knob, not a seperate selector switch. No PermaPress. And I believe it says 16 below, clearly not 1-18. What might I be getting? Some hybrid of a previous model? I can't get enough of Frigidaire thumpers, but haven't a clue what this is.

i think by the model look that this washer might be a wci washer model even do it looks like a 1-18 it kind of look like a wci washer model the best way to know this would be to open the lid and look at the agitatorf the inside is like this then its a wci washer credit to supreme whirlpool for this picture but only fridgedair expert of the site could confirm this.

No it's a GM Frigidaire, the front panel is a dead giveaway.  It's the more "rare" 16 model rather than the 1-18.  Depending on the year of it it likely has the blue Deep Action agitator from the solid tub models rather than the bigger Jet Cone.  It also has a lesser fill volume.  This was the bargain basement model.  It appears that the dryer is the westinghouse take on the 1-18 Frigidiare dryer because the front panel certainly is not of the GM design.

As Joe said, the crease in the front panel means it's a GM. (and the dryer is a newer WCI). This washer should have the regular 1-18 agitator but it has no water level control and it doesn't fill to the maximum capacity. That's why it's rated as a "16". The model number should be "WD" or "WD-A"

Here's an ad featuring the same washer and a harvest gold 1-18 WIC-A washer just like the one I have beside it.

I hope somebody gets the "16".   Any of the GM  machines are very hard to find.  arthur

the BOL Frigidaires always seem to have the white knobs. The others usually had the chrome knobs.

Frigidaire always seemed like such a quality machine, well built anyway, that how could there be a cheap version.

These basic models can easily be up graded by just changing the complete top and wiring harness taken from a more deluxe 1-18. If you get the dryer do not even plug it in, instead drop it off at the recycling center I don't think there was ever a worse dryer made.

Are we sure that is not an early WCI? The early ones did look like 1-18. Also if you look at the far left of the control panel (it's blurry) the logo looks too small.

I had a rebranded White Westhouse, Montgomery Ward with that same agitator. Didn't think GM made a washer with a back and forth agitator other than agitub.

They didn't. The pictures that Mark posted are of a GM washer with up-down agitator. The one that Pierre posted is of another newer washer...

no answer from the seller yet, so who knows. I have 2 "problem" 1-18's, maybe with this "16" I could swap around lids and consoles and get back in business.

OK, I confused the pics.
