It's not the season to be greedy.  This pair MUST go.  They are free, yep, FREE for the taking / shipping.  Dryer is gas, washer loves to vibrate, they were manufactured in 1977.

If no one here wants them, they will be put on the curb.

While they no doubt would be taken from the curb, wouldn't the Slavation Army pick them up and give you a write off?

Tom,

Not sure, but it would be worth looking into.  I do know that Goodwill here does not take major appliances, and the Re-Store only takes appliances less than 10 years old.

You may call and ask the restore if they want them. Our's website says they only want 10 years old, but I see 50s-70s stuff in there often. Noteably, I imagine it may be up to individual manager.

I would recommend donating them to the battered women's shelter in Lawrenceville, GA.

Lots of good suggestions! Maybe check with a church, or a social services agency that may know someone that needs them.

Putting them to the curb will probably mean they get scrapped.

I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN THEM

I would be interested in picking them up - How soon do you need them gone from your place.

I have responded to Bob's questions and e-mail, since he first expressed interest. I prefer that the 2 machines stay together. As to my location in Atlanta, I'm in the Chamblee area.

1966 - If Bob decides that he is not interested I can let you know.

Fair enough?

1966 - if you only want a dryer, here's an electric one like mine right here in Atlanta. Appears to be almond. DE408.
