It took a long time, but I finally got my valve!
I did a lot of research, went to places in town, and eventually found a part on ebay that had identical plastic. Apparently almost every valve that is even similar is out of production? That is what I learned from the three stores and several phone calls I made, though I am not sure that it is true.
Anyway, after some delay, I got the part today. The solenoid part was a little different, and wasn't attaching properly, but everything else looked good, so I just switched the tops and now the dishwasher seems to be in excellent shape! No leaks, and no problems so far. I am still running my first empty test-load right now, but it's filling, spraying, and draining perfectly.
Someone asked in my last thread about it heating the water, and it does not seem to. I have no idea if it is supposed to, but it isn't at this point. I'm running it on cold right now. The draining water is ice cold.
And I did not know about no teflon on inlet valves, since I don't really know anything about plumbing... so thank you! I know not to do that again!
Now hopefully this doesn't happen again for a VERY long time, because this was pretty intense! (Though it was absolutely worth it.)
