Been meaning to photograph this instruction manual for ages, following a request from 'sesteve' last year.

Apologies for the delay Stephen - enjoy the manual....

Hope it proves and useful and interseting read for people. Its certainly a very thorough instruction manual an shows the effort that Servis put into their new machine.
The instruction manual and its durable paper oozes the pride that Servis felt in their new product, which has gone on to become a British classic.

Cheers
Paul

Thanks Paul for posting, I think this is one of the most comprehensive and detailed though simple to understand instruction manuals that was around at the time..
I like the fact the pages are linked to the wash programme number, easy to read, simple to understand....

Thanks for the picture scans Paul. I love the way that they class the distribution speed as a spin @ 95rpm. If only all instruction books were as detailed as this now.

Wonderful scan Paul. I love these Servis machines. A friend's mum had on although she only ever used the 30min quick wash for every load.....eeeewwww! So that's the only wash I have eve seen one do completely.

Thanks Paul.

This'll be helpfull, as I'm hoping to pick up a friends Quartz Mk600 on Sunday (Jan 20th), so this'll be usefull for my Uncle.

Due to me having my 04 crew at home > Hoover Logic Premier, Servis Sapphire, Zanussi JetSystem & Miele Navitronic, & my Bosch Logixx WFT2800 at Grandma's, I've reached my limit.

I still have the Ultima 9566, but as he needs to replace his naff BirdWasher (Swan), I'm handing the 9566 over to a friend, who ironically, has my Uncle's 9525, which the Mk600'll hopefully be replacing, weather permitting.

So hopefully this'll make it 02 Servis's in my family, fingers crossed.

CJ

Wow Paul

Thanks so much for doing this. It must have taken ages. The memories are coming back. I remember when my neighbour bought this machine. it was her first washer and she had no plumbing in place. I was so keen to see it work that I got hold of some tap connectors from another neighbour who had them in the garage(and almost put a dent in their mini metro in the process)and set the machine up in the middle of the kitchen. We pulled up chairs and watched a whole no.2 programme with towels!! I'd love one of these.

There was a piano key model on ebay recently but it was too far away for me on this occasion. I decided to treat myself to a second hand Miele instead and was going for a Novotronic model when this beauty came up instead. Only problem is that it is so heavy so not been able to get it down to the kitchen to try it out fully - will have to wait until I move unless I get a trolley I can use on stairs!! Will post more on it soon.

Thanks again Paul
Cheers
Stephen

Cool

Hi Paul.

Thanks for posting the Servis info. My mum had a Servis Quartz in 1980, model no 600. Great machine but bad at an unbalanced load.

Stephen, congrats on the Miele. I have the W754S. Its in storage at moment.

Paul

Hey Paul

Hope you had help moving it! I know Miele's are good build but I have to confess that I wasn't prepared for how heavy it was!! This one is a W756 - guess it might have a faster spin as it has an 1100/900 switch for the spin. Can't wait to use it properly

Cheers
Stephen

Miele W754S

Hi Stephen.

It took 3 of us to lift it into my friends van. My machine is 1100rpm but does not have a spin reduction switch. It also has the original rubber drain hose. Miele sent me the operating insturction for the W754S and came all the way from Germany.

Have fun with your machine. Oh, hows your toploader?.

Regards

Paul

Hi Paul

This one also has its original drain hose but no fill hose. I'll have to get in touch with Miele and see if I can get the instruction book for this and I'd also like to find out when it was made from the serial number. Hope they are as helpful as you found them.

The top loader is working great. I had it out of the shed a couple of weekends ago and did a few loads just for fun. Need to grease the suspension mounts as its a bit squeaky on spin and I had a really unbalanced load of towels and had forgotten how much these can move!! I've done a couple of videos but must get round to uploading. Will share soon. Hopefully when I move I will be able to have a set up thats easier to use them. Did you end up overhauling yours?

All the best
S

Thanks for sharing. Really liked the older servis machines my uncle had one and it used to bounce round the floor on spin. Dont think it liked being on floorboards
