As to belt-drive agitators in DD machines, sadly, no, none of them will fit. The agitator shafts on the DD transmissions are too short. If an adaptor could be made, or something to lengthen the DD trans shaft, then possibly. There's no telling what all that fin surface area on a BD agitator would do to the DD gearcase. I think there is more curvature on the bottom of a DD basket, that is the part underneath the agitator shirt, which might cause issues for the wide shirted BD agitators like the Penta-Swirl and Penta-Vane, but some of the BD agitators would be very amusing in a DD machine! I think a couple gallons of heavy cream and a BD straight-vane agitator on fast agitate in a DD would make whipped cream in no time. Gordon |
