So I finally had some time tonight to work on the KitchenAid. I pulled off the front panel, dumped some water in, fired it up and sure enough water started to drip out of the pivoting section of the doors. I did not see any coming out of the main seal between the door and the whole assembly. The assembly as a whole didn't put up a fight, but the cotter pins were another story. After some swearing and a bit of bleeding, the thing came to pieces. The seals for the rinse aid dispenser came much easier! Any ideas for replacing these seals?
They're available on eBay but it doesn't look like you need to replace them. Clean them well and if they're still flexible, I'd use them and if you're concerned about leakage you could use a very small bead of silicone sealant or even bathroom caulk around the rim.
