Hi all, YouTube user HooverAC110 here. Sorry it's been a while since I have been on this forum but I forgot my password as it had been so long since I last logged in and then my email account got hacked so couldn't revive my old user on here... but hey-ho I'm back :)

I thought I would post my first experience in using a Bosch washing machine! My boyfriend still lives at home so it's his parents really but I was quite shocked to see a Bosch in the kitchen... well I had the chance to use it early on Saturday (9th February 2013).

I will be using this machine in the future as his parents are going away for a week and I'll be staying over (he hates cleaning by the way!) but he cooks. So back to Saturday and his mum had just finished a load on Cottons 60 but like she always does left it sat there for ages before moving it to the dryer. She went to bed just after midnight Friday so later, before this I already order my boyfriend to wash his brand new onesie he bought and had on for the best part of two weeks! He also gave the excuse that they had no washing powder so took some Ariel bio with me too.

Later we went downstairs and I fetched all the rest of his stuff out the washing basket in the bathroom so the load consisted of a onesie, 4-5 t-shirts, two pairs of underwear and a pair of socks... so half load. His mum had still left that bloody Cottons 60 load in the washer so I emptied the dryer and put the load in the dryer (come to the make of that later).

---------- SKIP TO HERE TO SEE THE VERDICT ON THE MACHINE ----------

I used Easy-Care 60 with 1200rpm and Aqua Plus and set the machine off. We stayed with the machine chatting whilst I washed some dishes and I had a brew waiting for it to finish but to my surprise it only took around one hour!

I must say it's the best machine out of all my family's machines I have used especially due to the fact that;
-- A final spin speed of up to 1200rpm can be used on the Easy-Care programme.
-- Short program times unless Wash Plus has been selected.
-- Very stable and quiet during both wash/rinse and spin (One spin was unbalanced but it was still quiet!
-- Great build quality of the detergent drawer and door
-- Nice soft touch option buttons with sound
-- Stainless steel drum paddles!

LOVE IT! Want one haha it's a damn sight quieter than our Hotpoint and of course more stable and better build quality than my Uncles Hoover washer/dryer.

My boyfriend's mum doesn't use softner but the washing still came out lovely and fresh as well as almost dry! Threw them in the dryer for one hour on low heat and voilá... Lewis had his onesie back on and he was happy (as was I!). I was also very happy to hear that his mum only seems to use Cotton 60, Cotton Stains 60 and Cottons 90 for all clothes and towels! She just sorts loads by colour which is fine as long as it's 60 and above.

The tumble dryer is an old Zanussi condenser (not sure of the model number) but it would match a FJ washer model.

---------- Questions ----------

So I shall wrap this up now and stop waffling on! Hope your all enjoy reading and feel free to comment back however I have some questions I would like answering about the machine if anyone could be of assistance?;

-- How long is a Cottons 90 without any options?
-- If I choose Reduced Ironing what will the spin speed be limited to on the interim. and final spins?
-- Will the machine perform 3 rinses without Aqua Plus?
-- Is the prewash at 30 or 40C?
-- Can the Delicates cycle have a spin speed of 800rpm?

Thank you very much for reading and all the best to everyone :)

I absoloutley HATE the touch sensitive buttons on the current bosch/siemens lineup, either work or they dont or they freeze lol

Touch sensitive buttons

Yes I do believe they are a bit awkward to use on the newer models but with his machine I never had any trouble selecting Aqua Plus or changing the spin from 800 to 1200.

We have a siemens heat pump dryer and the buttons get on my wick! I tend to avoid using it unless mum wants me to use it so I can get more washing done in the samsung or indesit.

Touch sensitive buttons

That's a real shame as those dryers look great!
