One option is U-Ship. The buyer would post the information and basically accept bids from shippers. I've had pretty good results using this method and been surprised at how low some shippers will go to get the work. If the buyer isn't happy with any of the bids they aren't obligated to accept them. The buyer also decides the degree to which the item should be protected/packed.

Thank you. I will forward the information to her and let her decide. She hasn't bid on it yet, so it will help her choose whether to go forward with it or not. She has a few days before the auction ends. Thanks again, diane |

Is HomeDirectUSA. I have not used them myself, but I believe other members have and they have had nothing but good things to say. I was amazed at how reasonable they are when I was looking for estimates to get a refrigerator from Minnesota to Vermont!

2nd to all that Lawrence said. I'm also in Missouri and have used U ship as a buyer to have multiple items delivered to me from as far away as Oregon. Great results in each of 3 different occasions. |

Ours is the exact same model as the one shown above and that is how it came to us.
Best to remove the wheels so they don't poke through the box. Also make sure to use a professional crate or shipping container. Uline sells these in all sizes and are easily assembled. If using UPS make sure to insure the shipment to cover at least the purchase price if it exceeds $100 USD. |
