Who was the first MFG who made the plastic outer tub?

Was it Amana first?

Frigidaire had the Skinny-Mini, Agi-Tub washer in 1970-71 with a plastic outer tub. Whirlpool also experimented with a plastic outer tub on the belt-drive washer in the early 70's, I believe John has one of those.
