I was discussing this chestermikeuk in another thread but thought it would be better to open another one!

I have a Maytag Intellisense MWA 09149 WH/1 (the one with induction motor) and have been trying to identify what the OEM for this might be... I've searched all kinds of Whirlpool washer photos but can't find anything at all that looks remotely like it!

I've seen that some Maytag european front loaders were made by Asko, but I can't find an Asko model that looks like this one either.

Does anyone have an idea what it might be rebadged or based on, and where it was made?

My YouTube video of the Maytag doing a cotton 60 degree cycle with 1400 spin is in the link if anyone's interested in a more detailed look - thanks for your help :)

Looks like Bauknecht

These are sold as Bauknecht in some other coutries, probably Whirlpool, too - and Adorina in Switzerland. Bauknecht is a German company bought by Whirlpool in 1989.

Looking at the German entry to Bauknecht in Wikipedia (de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bauknecht...), it seems like they were still making washing machines and dryers there until at least July 2012, when all the factories were closed by Whirlpool.
So would it be possible that this machine was manufactured there?

Hopefully I'll be able to find more information when I get to having a look at the guts. :)

Take a look on the serial tag and label on your washing machine, if it says Germany, then great, if it says made or assembled in the EU, then again its still good, just that parts are sourced from all over the place now and assembled usually in China or Poland...

You still have a great machine, looking forward to seeing more pics of the inside and a video perhaps and also your thoughts on it working!!
