We just picked up a 1985 SC model last week that was leaking at the bleach disp hose, otherwise not in bad condition if anyone nearby needs it or parts, otherwise I will recycle it into a Toyota, LOL.

Alr2903: Yes this was the last year of the BD era. These were 1985 models that were in the stores into 1986, but thereafter no more.

70Series, thank you. I figured it was around this time period that the change over occurred. A friend bought a "galaxy" model from Sears around 1988. After being around a lot KM WP products in the 70's and 80's I realized it was definately different from what I remembered. At the time i thought it was just some kind of oddball model. Early 90's we vacationed in Florida the direct drives were in all of the condo's with that strange 2 piece agitator with a lint filter. I think that is when i realized that WP had changed all the models. alr
