MIele dishwasher repair pics |

Here are a few pics of my dishwasher being looked at by the Miele repair guy. He was pretty good but the HQ in New Jersey sent him with the wrong pump and seal so he had to order the correct one and he also ordered a new control panel since he thinks that when the leak happened there might have been a backfeed thru the control panel. He is going to replace it for free as well. He didnt charge me today for the visit since he has to come back with the correct parts. I thought that was quite decent of him to do that. here is a pic of the truck...

I plan on taking more pics when the repair guy returns next Wednesday. He was quite nice about me taking pics and I told him about this site. He was telling me when he takes the pump out to take pics so people can see how its done. He said its not for someone that has no clue what they are doing.He said it should take about an hour to get changed out.

Well they are definitely not taking sound ratings during drain periods because this motor is the loudest part of the entire cycle although it does run less than a minute each drain. Maybe they should add some sound insulation around it. Of course my machine is older so perhaps the newer models don't have this situation. | ||

Well the guy came this morning and installed the new pump and seal. He put the dishwasher back together and it was leaking like a sieve. So the waterproof system kicked in and shut everything down. He pulled the machine back out and took the pan off and found the two hoses for the middle and upper wash arms were leaking and split at the connections. So he has to order those and then come back to install them. He said he has never seen a dishwasher have so many things go wrong at once like this. I do have the pump he took out. He was going to trash it.
